Daisy is a sweet, playful golden retriever who is 100% a Velcro girl! She loves being close to her people and is happiest curled up right next to you on the couch or bed. If you’re looking for a constant companion, Daisy is ready to fill that role.
Daisy is currently living with three foster brothers and does great with all of them. She loves to play with toys, fetch, get belly rubs, and even enjoys being groomed. One of her funniest quirks is how vocal she gets when she’s playing with her toys. And when it’s finally time to settle down, Daisy has an adorable routine of turning around in a circle about five times before finding the perfect spot to lie down.
She is house trained and has not needed to be crated or isolated in her foster home. Daisy knows her name and does a great sit, especially when you say her name first to get her attention. She gets VERY excited when her people come home and is still working on keeping all four paws on the ground during those happy reunions.
Daisy is still working on her leash manners, so she’ll need a family willing to continue practicing with her. She’ll also let you know when someone or something is in her yard with a bark, but her foster family has not observed any growling, guarding, or other concerning behaviors. She hasn’t lived with cats in her foster home, so her compatibility with cats is currently unknown. Other outdoor critters like squirrels, lizards, and bunnies don’t seem to bother her. Daisy is affectionate, silly, playful, and incredibly people-oriented. Her perfect family will appreciate having a four-legged shadow who is always ready for playtime, belly rubs, or a spot beside them on the couch.
Daisy’s adoption cost is $550. Learn about our adoption process here. Please help us defray the intake care cost by donating to the GRRMF Golden Gift Registry. Thank you.
