Our Sanctuary Dogs
Sometimes GRRMF rescue dogs are ultimately deemed unadoptable for one reason or another, typically due to ill health, advanced age or terminal illness. In these situations our Board of Directors makes a determination to place the dog in a permanent foster care status which we call “sanctuary”. These sanctuary goldens live the rest of their days with a very special GRRMF foster family selected just for them. These families make every day count, showering their foster dog with love and providing any necessary special care based on their dog’s needs. Why have a sanctuary program? To save lives – these dogs would not have any options without our intervention. With the support of our donors who help fund our sanctuary program we are honored to help them live wonderful lives.
