Ruby is a beautiful golden retriever, who is just a sweetheart and as loving as they come! She is looking for a new home that can give her the attention and time that she deserves. If you are ready for a sweet pooch who loves affection, Ruby is your girl!
Ruby gets along great with kids, and has lived with them before. Ruby would happily enjoy being a part of all the fun family activities: going for car rides, getting belly rubs, getting brushed, playing with toys, and especially going for walks! She actually comes running with she hears her leash, and walks very well around the neighborhood!
She friendly with dogs and cats, but has not lived with any previously. When new people come to the door and Ruby meets them for the first time, she gets a little nervous. She may bark and back away from the door, so slow introductions are best. She is calm, comforting, but protective of the family members in the house. This sweet girl would absolutely love to be a part of a new family to spend the rest of her life with!
Ruby knows some of her basic commands, such as sit and down through hand gestures, and would benefit from someone working with her on some more force-free training. She is crate-trained and is a very good girl when she is just chillin’ at home.
