Meet Lala – Giving Tuesday # 1

Meet Lala – Giving Tuesday # 1

After being hit by a car, a shy, unsocialized 3-month-old puppy was surrendered into our care to have her damaged hip surgically repaired and to ultimately be rehomed.

Named Lala in honor of a unique nonagenarian who received regular visits from one of our Hearts of Gold Therapy teams, puppy Lala proved it truly does take a village as she made her way, paw step by paw step, from injured and awkward to healthy and confident.

Adopted into an extremely loving and community-minded home in November of 2021, Lala made her official debut by joining our West Coast event team this summer, and soon after, her conscientious dad applied to have her certified as a therapy dog. And so, in August of 2022, Lala passed her CGC with glorious golden colors, and now proudly wears her distinctive Hearts of Gold Therapy team vest with her trademark grin and grace.

With so many Lalas waiting in the proverbial wings, won’t YOU please make a donation in her honor and be the bridge between another dog’s yesterday and tomorrow?
