Kristie Molina

Kristie Molina

Special needs dogs seem to have a sixth sense regarding their circumstances, and they are extraordinarily appreciative of the opportunity to be in a caring and loving environment. When Kristie was asked to foster Paris, they had just lost one of their own dogs, which left them with an empty feeling, including their other dog, Joey. Paris immediately became attached to and bonded with Joey, and swiftly stole everyone’s hearts.

“Paris LOVES to swim,” Kristie says. “Our family pool is her happy place. And because she’s getting older, swimming is easy on her hips. Every day, when my husband comes home from work, Paris meets him at the door with one of her many stuffed ‘babies’ in her mouth. Then she promptly retreats to the living room as if to say – ever so flirtatiously — ‘come get me!’  Paris also enjoys blueberries. They’re by far her favorite treat. Each evening, at exactly 7 PM, she gazes up at us with the sweetest puppy dog eyes until she receives her evening treat.”

Since Sanctuary dogs suffer from either physical or psychological conditions, they’re subsequently difficult to adopt. Thanks to special permanent fosters like Kristie, these dear and deserving dogs receive all the support they’ll ever need for the rest of their lives.
