Sully Jonas’ Success Story

Sully Jonas’ Success Story

A headshot photo of Sully, a golden.

On adoption day, Sully’s new mom was both elated and thankful that she could give such a wonderful, lovable dog the loving home he deserved. And although Sully arrived overweight, with skin issues and allergies, his eyes told the story of love and loyalty.

Truly a toy boy, Sully not only LOVES all of his toys, all of them are favorites! He brings them to his mom, often teasing her with them, always surrounds himself with them and sleeps with at least one. He also loves running around the backyard with her grandchildren, loves visitors, young and old, and when people stop by, he graciously greets them with a toy in his mouth. Then, whenever his mom comes home, Sully gaily greets her at the door with a toy, a smile and copious wiggles.A photo of Sully, a golden, surrounded by toys.

Endlessly endearing, Sully sits or lies in front of his mom so that she can pet him, actually nudging her hand if she stops. And because he wants her undivided attention at all times, he’ll back up to her if she’s on the couch for even more back pets. Not a great Afan of laptops, Sully makes it difficult for his mom to work when his big head is on the keyboard! When his mom speaks to him, Sully looks at her as if he understands every word she’s saying. Never more than a few feet away from her, Sully is much more than a “velcro” dog, he’s her superglue dog!

Due to Sully’s anxiety on car rides, their outings have, so far, been limited, but his mom has been working with a trainer to help him. And knowing Sully, he’ll soon be superglued to his mom as they drive around town!
