On adoption day, what made newly named Piper’s mom happiest was the knowledge that this gorgeous golden was well and truly home.
Topping Piper’s list of loves – and her positively favorite activity — is always being where her mom is. Admittedly her mom’s best shadow, she follows her everywhere she goes.
What makes Piper’s mom laugh the most? Piper likes having conversations. She ardently “a-woos” at her as if telling her the latest neighborhood gossip! According to her admiring mom, “She’s not keeping any secrets, and she always has a lot to say.” Her mom also loves how she trots! Piper’s so confident and so joyful that she calls it her “tritty-trot.”
Piper’s favorite toy is anything that squeaks: she has quite a few of them. Not surprisingly, though, she much prefers the toys her sister, Coco Chanel, a 3.5 -year-old Border collie rescue has. Then there’s the way Piper eats. She does a “food bowl dance” because she’s so excited to be eating. She also enjoys “presenting” her mom with various household items. To get her mom’s attention, she loves playing “look what I’ve found.” Typically, her chosen items are socks, mail, and pillows from the bed. She’s always so proud of herself that she also loves turning it into a game. Last, but certainly not least, is how sweetly Piper snuggles. She either sits on her mom’s lap, lies across her, or nuzzles under her neck.
