A golden retriever by any other name is just as sweet—such as Henry! Originally named Roscoe, Henry’s new family remember his adoption day with a sense of wonder: “Watching this beautiful animal bound around the house, getting oriented to his new family, was the happiest moment.”
And since then, the bond between Henry and his family has grown tremendously. Henry’s gentle nature and pure heart are revealed in the complete love he gives his family, following them wherever they go. His family notes that “he is special in the most basic yet wonderful way.”
Yet Henry also has his very endearing quirks. He loves to find a palm frond in the yard and run around with it in his mouth. As his family laughs, “he is so proud of himself, he treats it as if it’s made of solid gold.” Henry is also a peanut butter fanatic. His favorite toy is a frozen Kong filled with a little bit of that gooey stuff, which he will then chew on for hours.
With his happy smile and soft eyes, Henry is also a hit with other dogs. He loves to run down to the river park at the end of his family’s street with his best friends Bailey and Copper. But to his family’s delight, Henry’s heart belongs to his family. And that feeling is completely and totally reciprocated. As his family enthuses, “We adore Henry!”
