Marley’s forever family’s happiest memory of adoption day was being the fortunate recipient of his golden kisses and unbridled affection.
Agile and athletic, he thrives on activity: the busier he is, the better! As much as he loves playing, running and chasing balls, he especially enjoys it when his dad brings out the leaf blower. Marley absolutely adores chasing after the leaves and feeling the wind blow through his fur. Then there’s his obsession with stuffed animals. While lamb chop is one of his favorites, he also loves minion, dinosaur, unicorn and snake, and he never goes anywhere without one of his many “stuffies.”
Keeping his parents consistently amused is the fact that Marley “talks” a great deal. He makes various, assorted noises to let them know that he wants something, as, for example, when they’re petting him with one hand when he wants them to pet him with both hands!
They especially enjoy the way Marley greets them at the door with his favorite stuffed animal of the moment in his mouth. They also empathize with his ongoing anxiety, and are working diligently to help him overcome it. Never is this more apparent than when he circles visitors, talking all the while, and although he’s eager to be friends and wants to be petted, he doesn’t stay close to them for long. (He’s already attended two one-on-one training sessions as he prepares for group training with other dogs).
As for outings: his family takes Marley to his dad’s parents’ five-acre property where he likes to chase lizards, squirrels and the horse!
