No family could have been happier on adoption day than this one! When Arlene and Tom brought Loki home, he walked inside and took over the entire house in 30 seconds, as if to say, “I’m home now.”
A beguiling blend of athletic and affectionate, Loki loves accompanying his parents on long walks along the various trails nearby and romping around in the parks. He also loves having his belly rubbed while he snuggles with one of his favorite toys. But what he loves most is climbing up on the couch with his dad in the evening to receive his nighttime snack.
Although the family hasn’t traveled anywhere lately, Loki is an excellent passenger in the car and has a particular fondness for car rides. He gets so excited, in fact, that he can hardly contain himself. And while he has many favorite toys, he likes his lambchop toy most because he can make it squeak the loudest.
Especially endearing to his parents is how ever so intelligent Loki tilts his head when he’s listening to them – as if he actually understands every word they’re saying – and how much he “talks” whenever he wants something. When the family’s walking through the neighborhood, he trots along with such a broad smile on his sweet face that people always compliment his parents on having such a happy dog. Once, a woman approaching them even exclaimed, “What an adorable dog! What kind is he? Can I meet him and take his picture?”
In the words of his awed and appreciative adopters, “We truly love Loki, and couldn’t imagine life without him.”
