A former stray, Flo (now Meg) once lived in a shelter and had heart worms. The worms lost the battle. She is all heart. She acts like a puppy at 8, full of life and curious about everything. Some dogs stalk lizards. Some go nuts over squirrels. And then there’s Meg, exuberant after capping off her nightly potty break with the rare delivery of a sleeping possum to her new owner’s kitchen door. “I acted like I was impressed, because I didn’t want her to feel obligated to bring me something bigger,” says adoptive mom Patty.
