How happy are most rescue dogs to be adopted? Well, just consider Dakota, who recently became part of her furever family. Upon arriving in her new home, Dakota immediately rolled onto her back and put her paws up in the air for a belly rub. The comfort and joy that Dakota showed on her adoption day is a memory that her parents will cherish forever.
And that joy and happiness felt by Dakota and her family continue on a daily basis. In fact, Dakota always seems to have a grin on her face, whether it’s playing tug-of-war with any of her toys or running around the yard fetching just about anything that her parents throw. Dakota’s smile is completely infectious, and she has a number of endearing habits that provide no end of amusement.
For example, Dakota has a dog bed. Now, Dakota enjoys her dog bed and happily relaxes on it. However, that doesn’t stop her from sneaking onto the bed and then giving that look which she hopes will convince her parents that she belongs there. Another thing Dakota does that makes her parents laugh is sitting with one back paw kicked out from her otherwise perfect pose. She’s such a goofball!
Dakota has found her family. The love and connection shared between Dakota and her parents is truly remarkable, yet also happily occurs for so many rescue pups that are lucky enough to find their fur-ever home.
