Oh what a view for sweet Cody, a GRRMF rescued golden doodle who found his forever home with Lysee and Mark! Mark fell head over heels with this sweet boy the moment they met. Here is what he has to say about their Cody:
I think karma is real. We just lost our beloved golden retriever Luke to a ruptured spleen and most likely splenic cancer. My wife and I decided to defer any decision about another dog until January when my recent medical issues are completed and we know where this/we are headed over the next few years.
Au contraire Pierre…… my wife went to do a photo shoot for the Golden Retriever Rescue Mid-Florida (GRRMF) to show the dogs as presentable and “cute” as possible to encourage potential adopters to see how beautiful these dogs really are. I went along as her chauffeur. While we were there a call came in stating that there is a young golden-doodle coming into the rescue team. Would we be interested to be foster parents for two weeks until a forever home could be found for him.
Guess what! We couldn’t give him up so we officially adopted Cody into our family. Abby, our King Charles Cavalier Spaniel even has started to tolerate him.
Bottom line, Cody, like many of the GRRMF dogs is cute and lovable we just fell in love…..now back to the karma point … we think he adopted us because we are in need of some additional unconditional love that only a dog can bring given all the issues we have gone through these past months. Who adopted who? Who knows and who cares. He has a forever home and we have a great companion that will be with us for years to come.
