September was a special month for Steven and Reema and their three young children. That was the month they welcomed Charlie into their family forever. In fact, Steven’s happiest memory of adoption day was playing fetch with the creamy-coated Golden.
Charlie absolutely adores swimming in the family pool, and when this constantly smiling sweetheart isn’t swimming, he’s playing with his favorite toy: a purple chew bone. He especially enjoys accompanying his parents on walks to the dog park and to the clubhouse, and because these are still early days, the family hasn’t yet taken a vacation together.
What Charlie’s dad finds particularly amusing about him, and which always makes him laugh, is when Charlie chases his tail. But what makes Charlie truly special is the way he trots and bites his leash during their walks, the inexplicable and almost mystical connection that he has with deer and how, when he swims, it’s as “insanely” swift as it is gloriously goofy.
If will power can be considered an accomplishment, then Charlie is indeed accomplished. He can stay next to a treat when his parents aren’t next to him without eating it until he’s given permission!
