Bandit Drake’s Success Story

Bandit Drake’s Success Story

Headshot of Bandit with two cute eyes looking right into the camera with a toothy smile.

Jennifer and Alex’s happiest memory of the day they adopted Bandit was seeing how excited their daughters were to meet and play with him in the backyard of his foster home. As for Bandit: he matched their daughter’s smile for smile and was equally delighted to play with them and to shower them with love.

A veritable “velcro” dog, Bandit thrives on being next to his new family and going everywhere they go. He not only loves playing tug-o-war, fetching a tennis ball and going for walks and runs, he loves the people, other dogs, and cats he meets along the way. He also loves his many toys, particularly his lamb chop toy, and gets especially excited when he sees a Kong and when his parents put together a treat puzzle for him.Bandit with a pink toy in their mouth sitting in the living room.

If his parents are sitting quietly and reading, Bandit will roll over onto his back and put his paws on his face to make them laugh. Keeping them laughing – this time in awe – are his astounding athletic skills, such as his ability to catch a tennis ball in mid-air! Endlessly endearing to them, though, is how much of a love Bandit is. Exceedingly gentle with their daughters and the cat, he’ll do anything for his parents’ love and attention, and because he so enjoys their training times, he and they work doubly hard together, thereby deepening the bond between them. (He knows “give me paw,” “leave it,” “hustle” (their emergency call) and “wait,” and is currently at work on “spin” (turn around).

In the words of Jennifer and Alex, “Thank you for choosing us to be Bandit’s forever family. We are very grateful and we love him very much.”
