Bailey Ada’s Success Story

Bailey Ada’s Success Story

It always bears repeating that adopting a dog can transform lives. For GRRMF rescue pup Bailey, that change began on her adoption day. The ever-present security and love from her parents allowed Bailey to become the charmer she is today. As Bailey’s parents note, deciding that she was going to be their dog for good created an immediate sense of peace for all of them.

Bailey is enormously social. In fact, she’s now called the mayor of the street, as well as the mascot of the nearby middle-school bus stop, because the neighbors have quickly come to adore her. Bailey loves to have her paws massaged, whether by her humans or new friends. Belly rubs are also a favorite of hers.

Bailey’s friendliness extends to other dogs as well. For example, Bailey’s parents watched their neighbors’ dogs (a lab and a husky) for several days. Although these two pups stayed in their own house to sleep, Bailey happily played in their fenced yard with them during the day and then hosted them in her own house for the evening before they went home to bed. Bailey loved having her friends around and playing with them in the yard!

Bailey has so many fun quirks as well. She jumps back from inanimate objects, such as newly spotted porch decorations, until she realizes that they are not a threat. However, despite her concern of inanimate objects, Bailey is a trooper and doesn’t mind thunder, fireworks, or vacuum cleaners. Bailey also loves her stuffed animals and will fetch one to present as “an offering” to whoever enters the house. She’ll just hold it in her mouth while wiggling with her whole body with pure happiness. Another entertaining activity with Bailey is teaching her even more words to add to her already sizable vocabulary. What a smart girl!

As Bailey’s parents note, she is “an amazing ambassador for the power of how foster and adoption can change a dog’s life in such a major way.” And that change doesn’t end there. Bailey now has the confidence and security to bring joy and affection to all around her, continuing the pawsome transformation of love.
