Tyson is a loving, goofy boy who is happiest when he is right by your side. He is a true Velcro dog who loves attention and will happily climb into your lap for cuddles, sneaking in a few kisses while he is there!
As Tyson has settled into his foster home, his fun personality has started to shine. His absolute favorite activity is pushing a basketball around the backyard, and he can happily entertain himself rolling it all over the yard. He also enjoys Nylabones, frozen Kong treats, and going for walks.
One of Tyson’s most endearing quirks is his love for towels and blankets. He likes to “steal” them, carry them around, and proudly present them to his foster family like a gift. Don’t worry, he isn’t destructive with them. He just seems very proud of his special deliveries!
Tyson loves his walks and enjoys meeting people of all ages along the way. His previous owner shared that he did well with their grandson. He is still working on his leash manners and tends to pull. Tyson will also bark when he sees other dogs while on leash. His foster family feels his barking seems friendly, but he has not had enough interaction with other dogs yet to know how he would do living with one. His experience with cats is unknown.
Tyson also enjoys car rides. He may need a little time to settle in, but once he does, he rides nicely.
At home, Tyson is house trained and does not use a crate. He has been doing wonderfully when left alone. While his foster family is still getting to know him, he currently has access to only part of the house when they are away, and he has not been destructive at all. Interestingly, Tyson has little interest in dog beds or people beds. He would much rather find his favorite people and be close to them!
In short, Tyson is a wonderful companion who simply wants plenty of love, attention, and a family to call his own. If you are looking for a sweet shadow, lap dog, basketball star, and occasional towel delivery service all rolled into one, Tyson may be your perfect match.
