Sherri is your classic 10-month-old pup—full of curiosity, energy, and an endless supply of joy. This beautiful red golden is a pure delight and has yet to meet a stranger she doesn’t immediately adore. She’s currently in heat and not yet spayed, but her spay is scheduled.

Sherri loves to play fetch and will happily keep going until she drops (or you do!). Indoors, she’s content to chew on her bones and toys. She already knows several basic commands and does quite well in the home, but like any young pup, she still needs a bit of structure. She’s crated at night and when her foster mom is away—because, as her foster has discovered, pups have a special talent for finding things to chew, such as pencils no one even knew were there!

Sherri is also a bit of a counter surfer, so homes should be prepared to keep tempting items put away. Thankfully, the training she’s received so far has shown she’s a smart girl who is already learning right from wrong.

A great eater, Sherri has no problem letting you know when it’s breakfast or dinner time. Her eyes light up the second she hears “puppy chow,” and she’ll do a happy dance until her bowl is set down. She absolutely knows what the word “treats” means and will patiently tolerate having her diaper put on as long as treats are part of the deal. Once her heat cycle is finished, she’ll be ready for longer walks and more consistent training.

Sherri will make a wonderful addition to nearly any household. With continued training and the love she thrives on, she’s sure to grow into a truly fantastic, head-turning red golden retriever.
