Hi, I’m Scout! I am a very energetic puppy, ready to explore the world around me!

close-up of Golden Retriever with its tongue out, panting lightly, walking on the leash with greenery, and houses. I am with a fun foster who is helping me learn how to be a good puppy, and I am enjoying my time with her! I like to sit by her feet and watch TV or sleep, and we also love playing outside. I haven’t had any real manners training, so this is all new to me. I’m starting to understand, but hey, I’m just a puppy. I’ll eventually get there! Things I enjoy are having my butt and belly rubbed, and my foster mom says I do a super cute dance when my butt is scratched.  I’m smart too.  When she tells me to go get down, I roll over on my back for some belly rubs! I also like rolling around on the floor and playing with my humans and my toys. Going on walks is something that I’ve come to enjoy.  It gives me the opportunity to explore new sights and sounds! New things tend to give me pause, but with a little encouragement and patience I will relax.

A 9 mth old puppy, reddish golden, sitting, giving the camera some big brown eyes. I love being near my humans, but as time goes by I’m comfortable being a little farther from them. I am a very good boy and I do my best to please. I’m currently working on leash manners, and when my foster mom says it’s time to eat or drink, I go straight to my food or water bowl. Since I am still a puppy, I tend to explore things with my mouth. I’m glad I’m learning better doggy manners so I can find a loving family who I spend the rest of my life with, having fun and making wonderful memories. If I haven’t said it before, I’m handsome and sweet and I can’t wait to see what my future holds!
