Parker lives to love and to please!
Parker and mom Holly have been paying visits to a local nursing home and a short-term rehabilitation facility. On their summer agenda is paying visits to various local libraries.
One of their favorite therapy visits to date was at the rehab facility where Parker especially enjoyed interacting with the short-term patients. She LOVED giving hugs and getting her back scratched.
When not doing therapy visits, Parker lives life to the fullest! “Just say ‘ride’ or ‘walk’ and she’s off,” says Holly. Her preferred modes of transportation are the golf cart and the car. And although she’s never turned down a kayak trip, rides in the golf cart are truly her favorite. On a rainy day, Parker’s up for a fun and active session of training: fetch, shake, army crawl or sit.
Especially endearing to Holly is when Parker does her grass roll. Passersby can’t help but laugh. She moves like lightning and only stops for a belly flop and some shade. What’s particularly tender, though, about Parker is how intuitive she is, and how she can sense when someone needs a hug, a yoga move, or a friendly head bump.
Since Parker is absolutely smitten with her parents’ new grandchild, Holly feels that she’ll be a natural with kids.
