Age: 8 years
Breed: Golden Retriever Blend
Weight: 64 lbs.
Status: Not Ready For Adoption
I just wanted to tell you how much I like my foster family, I have settled in nicely. I’m a morning canine – my foster mom says I like to talk in the morning to her. I’m learning so much by following everyone around and my foster brother, Cooper, is swell. I take quick potty breaks so I can come back inside to lay on my soft bed.
I just started my heartworm treatment last Friday. It’s going to be a long and expensive process, but I know I will feel so much better when I’m finished. I hope you might be able to help me with a few spare dollars. I don’t like to beg, but this time it’s really important to get my heart strong so I can go to my forever home.
Rest assured your kind donations will make me a happy, healthy girl again.
Sending You Doggie Kisses and Love – Holly
Look at this sweet golden blend with her soft brown eyes and cute ears. Her name is Holly and she came to GRRMF as a stray who is lovingly looking for her forever home.
When she arrived at our GRRMF vet partner for her exam, it was discovered that she was heartworm positive. She needs time to receive treatment before she can be adopted. Holly had a few other medical conditions that GRRMF is helping with – – isn’t she fashionable in her stylish E-Collar?
Holly is settling into her foster home and has interacted well with her foster family and her foster golden brother. She is independent, but also has the golden velcro dog gene and enjoys following her foster family around from room to room. Holly has become the sous chef to her foster mom and established her position, like a floor mat, right in front of the stove.
Holly enjoys the affection and belly rubs she is getting from her foster family and she’s a real trooper when it comes to taking her mediated baths to clear up her skin condition. She rides in the car well, is housebroken and is working hard at learning doggie etiquette from her foster family.
We know Holly will feel so much better when her heartworm is treated and her skin is cleared up. Her foster family is so glad to have the opportunity to help this sweet girl recover, but she needs your help too!
Holly needs to regain her strength and energy so that she can get to her forever home. Heartworm treatment costs are $2000 over a four month period but this is a “commitment” that we make to each and every heartworm positive dog that comes into GRRMF to save their life and help them to be the best they can be. For more information see – our page on heartworms.
Please help with her recovery so she can have a healthy heart to start her new life in a loving home forever. Holly would appreciate any donation you can share with her.
