Harley is a handsome young Great Pyrenees mix with all the makings of a wonderful companion: gentle, loyal, curious, and happiest simply being near his people. Watch him run around his backyard here. He loves belly rubs, car rides, walks, grooming, and relaxing in his favorite spot behind the recliner — but the moment his person heads to another room, Harley is usually right behind them.
He enjoys companionship without needing to be glued to your side, making him the perfect mix of affectionate and independent. And while toys may not impress him much, watching this big guy toss around his bully stick like a favorite toy is guaranteed to make you smile.
Harley is house trained, knows sit, stay, and shake, and has shown no destructive behavior or resource guarding. He has been gentle with a 4-year-old after getting acquainted, though his size means supervision around young children is important. His previous family reported that he did well with cats, and he has been comfortable around other dogs at the vet. Harley walks fairly well on leash and is continuing to work on containing his enthusiasm when something exciting catches his attention. He may alert you with a bark when he hears an unfamiliar noise or sees someone outside, but underneath that big-dog presence is a sweet, easygoing boy looking for a family whose room — and heart — he can quietly settle into.
Dog’s adoption cost is $850. Learn about our adoption process here. Please help us defray the intake care cost by donating to the GRRMF Golden Gift Registry. Thank you.
