It’s easy to assume this golden-pawed princess is one you’d see in the movies, but Ella is not looking for a prince charming, she’s looking for her forever family.

Meet Ella. She is 4 years old and 65 pounds of sweetness. She made her way to GRRMF because her former owner suffers from allergies. So does Ella, but fear not she has the right medication to keep her feeling her best.

Ella loves to cuddle and play— particularly a good game of fetch. Ella really enjoys playing tug with her toys, too. She’ll bring you her favorites and with her cute face convince you to play along with her. She is not a big chewer and only asks that you don’t forget her nightly dental treat because she thinks they’re so yummy!

When she’s not playing, Ella loves going out for a walk or jog. Her foster says she needs a lot of exercise to stay her happiest. Her other favorite things: car rides, belly rubs and a nice groom. Ella does needs someone who will be patient come road trips or grooming time because she gets a little sensitive but always cooperates.

Ella is your typical golden retriever; the definition of a Velcro dog. She likes to go wherever her human is. She’s never met a stranger, but does get anxious around new things and in busy places. So, she’ll need someone to go at her pace until she gets comfortable. Ella is working on learning basic commands and would really flourish with exposure training. She knows how to go potty outside and does not need to be crated; in fact, prefers not to be.
