Please pay special attention to the sections on puppy facts, children and dogs and fences on our website prior to submitting an application for a puppy.
We believe Bridget came to us from a puppy mill and needs a very special family to provide a new “leash” on life. Their forever family must have unconditional patience working at the dog’s pace to build their trust and gain confidence being a dog. As their self-assurance grows, these formerly terrified puppy mill dogs can approach new situations and life with a positive outlook rather than fear. To meet the needs of these dogs, GRRMF requires the home life conditions of their forever home to have a secure fenced in backyard, regardless of the age of the dog, a calm and chill pal mentor dog and a quiet residence with an adult who is at home most of the day each day.
Hi there! My name is Bridget, and like my opening remarks state, I am looking for my furever family to grow with day by day to blossom. The wonderful foster family I’m living with at the moment says I’m so calm and sweet, that they don’t think I have a rambunctious bone in my body! I just love getting pets and will let you know I’m still there and ready if you find yourself stopping before I’m ready. I love being around people and my foster sibling, who I follow around the house as well as to go outside and inside. I’m not yet ready to venture outside on my own without company and could use some practice leash walking, but I just need some love and patience to build my confidence. My happy places in the house include being in bed next to my people and a few select spots within reach of someone who may want to pet me. I am as content outside of my crate as I am in it, and am house trained. So if you are willing to work with me to bring me out of my shell, I think this could be the start of a beautiful relationship.
If you will open your home and heart to embrace this special lady, please consider adopting Bridget at https://www.grrmf.org/how-to-adopt/.
