Big-hearted Bentley brightens everyone’s day with his bountiful love.
Bentley and Karen’s visiting schedule is both varied and wide. The places this dynamic duo visit are Windermere Prep, where they read with third graders, Barry Law School, where they provide stress reduction for students taking tests and Boards, an independent, assisted living and memory care facility and a library. Also on their schedule: Hand N Hand Enrichment Center, working with 2, 3 and 4 year olds, St. Charles Borromeo for Career Day, Reedy Creek Wellness Day and The National Healthcare Coalition.
While they love going to schools and having the students read to him, Bentley, who’s so well behaved and intuitive to others’ needs, truly loves every place they go.
One of Karen’s most memorable visits was to The National Healthcare Coalition. Everyone was so happy to spend time with Bentley and love on him. While they petted him, they took out their phones and shared pictures of their own dogs, current or past.
At home, Bentley loves to play fetch! He also loves reading time with Karen when they cuddle on the couch: she reads and he snuggles in for a nap. She jokes that he was a guy in his previous life! When they’re in the car, he sits with his left leg on the console and looks out the window at the world going by. When they watch TV, he rests his head in her lap and places his right leg over her legs.
As for the future: Visiting with more schools and hoping to make people smile one visit at a time!
