Hello! My name is Bear and I am ready to go home with my new family!
With a name like Bear, you may be thinking that I am a big guy, but really I am just a cuddly teddy bear! At a little under 50 pounds, you won’t mind when I climb into your lap for some snuggles. I hope you are ready for my special hugs! My foster mom loves when I put my paws in her lap and then climb up to her shoulders so I can rest my head and give her a gentle squeeze! I promise this move will melt your heart!
My foster family has another dog and we love to hang out together. I like to play with kids in the neighborhood too. I haven’t met any cats yet, but there are some other animals in the yard like bunnies. They are cute to look at, but I am not interested in chasing them.
I have lots of toys to pick from and I am starting to play with them a little bit. So far, the chew toys are my favorite. I like to sleep on a bed inside my crate. If you leave the door open, I will wander in and out whenever I need to take a snooze. I am mostly housebroken, but when you first bring me home, you’ll need to show me where to go and how to alert you when I am ready to go out. I know how to COME and I am working on SIT, DOWN, and OFF. Just a little more practice, and I will be ready to show you how well I have mastered those skills too.
When you are home, I will mostly stay nearby because I really like to be close and see what you are doing. Of course, I wouldn’t mind if you stopped to give me one of those belly rubs that I love so much.
My foster mom says that I am a sweet, gentle and super chill guy. I can’t wait to share my warm hugs with my new family!
