Bailey believes loving is the best medicine.
Although Bailey and Cyn visit various facilities and enjoy them all, Bailey’s favorites are a daycare and several assisted living locations because she remembers them and they remember her.
One of Cyn’s most memorable moments involved a woman in a wheelchair with limited functional mobility and the inability to speak. She brought Bailey close to her and watched her face light up when the nurse helped her pet Bailey. Bailey, who senses challenges like these, was, as always, exceptionally gentle. Equally endearing is when Bailey goes nose to nose with an adult or child.
In her free time Bailey loves running in the backyard with her new one-year-old lab brother, going on car rides and taking brief walks, especially on the beach. Although she’s blessed with the sweetest disposition, Bailey brooks no nonsense from her rambunctious younger sibling and has taken an active part in his training.
As for this ambitious team’s future plans: getting approved for hospice visits and earning Bailey a Canine Good Citizenship Certificate.
