Amiable Amp gets an “A” for effort!
Although Amp may still be mastering her role as a Therapy dog, she’s a natural when it comes to nurturing.
She and Laura are currently visiting hospitals, behavioral health centers, camps, the Safety Harbor Library and a local school. And to say that Amp adores pets would be putting it mildly!
The team’s favorite therapy visit so far was to the Safety Harbor Library. Amp was very calm and welcoming to all of the children, allowing them to pet her and love on her without any hesitation.
When not doing therapy work, Amp loves to swim, even when she isn’t supposed to swim. She also loves playing in the yard with her large doggy sister, Storm.
One of Amp’s most adorable quirks is that she’s Laura’s alarm clock. She knows when it’s 5:30 AM, which means she potties and eats breakfast. Then there’s the way she loves to squish her face as close as possible to Laura or her husband to get the most attention, earning her the affectionate nickname “Squishy Face.”
Amp also sees herself as a nursing student! She accompanies Laura to nursing school every day, walks into the building as if she owns the place, proudly climbs the stairs and waits for the day to start.
As for this fabulous team’s future: making more people smile with puppy snuggles.
