Meet Alec – a handsome, light honey colored golden looking for his forever home to enjoy the remainder of his years! He would be great with a couple that does not have children or other pets.
Alec may be 13, but his foster parents describe his energy levels to be at half of what his age is. He still enjoys going on walks, they are his favorite. After a good walk, he will show his age by taking a long snooze to relax. He’ll also still do zoomies around the yard to show you how happy he is. He is well trained and knows all that a senior golden would know at 13. He’s not a fan of the crate, but that is no worry as he is perfectly behaved roaming on his own and at night.
Outside of walks, he enjoys spending time with his humans, especially when he is shown affection like pets, tummy rubs, behind the ear and booty scratches, and even a sweet kiss on the forehead. He loves to play with stuffed toys and his goal is to always break through and tear out all of the stuffing. He will request to finish his toy tearing until finished!
His fosters describe his relationship with food as interesting. He tends to want to save his food for later! He likes to watch you prepare his dinner, but when he is fed in his bowl, he will push it to the corner and then eat it later. When he gets treats he tends to hide them under his blanket. But don’t worry, he will be back later to consume.
