Abbey is the perfect addition to any family. She loves hanging out with her younger family members, camping out on the couch or bedtime cuddles with her 10-year-old human sibling, making her ideal for a family with children.

Her foster family is enjoying her immensely saying, “She is just the sweetest. She is a little angel. She gets along great with her two golden retriever foster siblings as well.”  We have no information on cat interaction.

Like most dogs, Abbey loves her walks. She tends to pull on the leash if she sees a squirrel, but her foster is working on her manners. She does tend to be a little nervous in new settings and has barked around new dogs on walks, but then quickly gets back to her usual calm demeanor.

And speaking of manners, Abbey is house trained and is well mannered in the house. She doesn’t use a crate. She knows her commands including sit, stay, lay down and she comes when called. When it comes to her food, she prefers softened/soaked kibble over crunchy.

Favorite past times? She loves belly rubs, playing with her toys, playing fetch and being groomed. She is a calm car passenger and loves looking out the window.
