Thank you so much to all our wonderful shoe donors coast to coast throughout mid-Florida who made it possible for our goldens to receive the $1000 donation from Funds2Org and help humans too!At our reunion in February, you met Judy and Jerry who accepted, banded, tied and filled their vehicle with 917 pairs you brought to the reunion and transported to their storage unit they donated to us to use during this campaign. Once there, they unloaded the car and placed in special bags limited to 25 pairs per bag. This was repeated for every car load we brought to them!

Our volunteers worked tirelessly for 2 months to set up drop off locations, hold collection events, as well as pick up and transport shoes from all over Mid-Florida to our storage unit.

Participating in our west coast events in February and March and covering Pinellas county, Charlie was pawesome in collecting and transporting throughout the county to ensure the shoes made it to Carol our cross state connection who logged close to 2000 miles supporting the campaign! Adding Rocky’s Retreat after the reunion was a wonderful addition as this awesome central Florida location brought us over the top with a pick up of 318 pairs on April 4th and needed two trips to retrieve them all! Thank you April and team!
And then there is a very special young lady named Aarini Saini, whose family adopted GRRMF Simona in 2012. Aarini set up a campaign in her school, Corbett Preparatory School of IDS for two weeks and collected 138 pairs from her classmates! She also received cash donations too! You are AWESOME Aarini! Simona loves you so much for caring for her GRRMF brothers and sisters.
