Losing Weight For Surgery!

Riley came to GRRMF when her family couldn’t afford to care for her properly.  Luckily GRRMF has the resources to help dogs like Riley.  Our team of vets found this wonderful 7 year old had a number of health issues starting with being overweight.

In addition to being overweight, she suffers from ear and skin allergies and also needs knee surgeries to repair tears in her muscles.

At the vet’s recommendation, Riley will need to lose weight before she can have her surgeries.  This will be no small feat and GRRMF is blessed to have foster families that can come to her rescue and help with her long time care. Her fosters are currently working on a diet and exercise, that will bring her weight down, while also treating her many allergies with medicated shampoos for bathing, injections, and ear medications.
