Well, things didn’t turn out quite how they were planned.  I was supposed to have surgery to remove several masses that had been detected during my initial intake.  After careful consideration by the professional veterinarians and medical team, it was decided that due to the location of the masses, my advanced age and other physical conditions, surgery might be too hard on me.  I’m keeping a positive attitude and I know they made the right decision.  I did just turn 13 years old and I have cataracts, I can’t hear anymore and my hips are bad – which makes it difficult to get around.  The good news is that I will be part of the wonderful Sanctuary program that GRRMF has for old guys like me.

More importantly, I get to stay with my loving foster family and be a part of their family forever.  They will give me lots of supportive care and I will get to hang out with Angel Baby, who was adopted from GRRMF and Macie Rose, a little Shih Tzu blend.  It’s a great family and I am very happy in my new families home.  They serve a nice meal and I really enjoy my food, plus I get to take strolls (with assistance) in the backyard.

I’m very thankful that my foster family wanted me to stay with them and that the veterinarians, medical team, volunteers and wonderful supporters of GRRMF have made it possible for me to live the rest of my life in a loving home.  What else could a guy ask for than to be unconditionally loved and cared for today, tomorrow and always!
