A mom who was golden who accidentally met up with a chocolate lab male created this beautiful chocolate with red highlights boy named Murphy. Murphy is very affectionate and does not know his own strength nor realize how big he is. He will climb into your lap for a hug and hug you back. He loves to play ball and will fetch and bring it back. Walking is a must with a harness for his safety and to burn off the extensive energy that this young boy has…a tired dog is a good dog.
Murphy is very sweet and very loving. He likes to sit next to you on the couch and he wants to go everywhere you go. Inside, outside, front room, kitchen – he is right there. He is protective of food and toys and not a great sharer which is one of the important areas of focus for training to build this boys confidence. He is very enthusiastic when greeting people and will jump up with power and strength. He stands about 5’10” when standing up so tall and strong. GRRMF trainers are working on this as well to teach him the right way to greet humans.
Murphy needs a committed human who will devote extra love, patience and positive reinforcement training to adjust some bad habits, and build new and wonderful behaviors. Right now he is a special needs pup who requires a special caregiver to help him be the best boy we know he can be!
