Marley might be a big boy but only in size not in temperament. His foster mom describes him
as a quiet and gentle boy who loves to just hang out by her side. Even his foster fur sister has taken a liking to Marley and finally extended the olive branch to him. He is a “beautiful companion to have by your side,” his loving foster mom proclaims.
This dear boy has been diagnosed with heartworm and will be undergoing treatment for this disease. He’s a strong guy so he will be able to overcome this potentially life threatening disease with the proper rest and professional treatment he will receive from GRRMF and supporters like you. His dental care, lumps and bumps that need to be checked out will be taken care of after he is medically cleared of the heartworm.
Those little set backs won’t get this boy down, he is busy playing with his new puppy toy that his foster family gave to him and enjoys tossing it in the air, just for kicks! But when the thunder rolls, he takes off to find his foster mom and little did she know she was going to be sharing her shower with him! Marley isn’t a fan of the thunder but he settles down once it is over.
One of the many wonderful traits Marley has is that he knows
obedience commands and is especially good at responding to “No” and “down”. He is a perfect gentleman that takes his treats politely, shows no aggression and doesn’t jump up.

If you are looking for a mature, cuddle bug, Marley’s your guy! Not only does he like adults, 
he’s good with children, dogs and we’ve been told cats too. Marley came to GRRMF when his owners could no longer afford to care for him.
Before he can be available for adoption, GRRMF will get him some dental care for his gums and teeth and examine a few other 
lumps and bumps that need to be checked out. Given his age, he does have some arthritis and his attending vet suggests a diet to help relieve some of the pressure on his joints.
Marley is adapting to his new foster home and trying to win over his foster fur sister, at this point she isn’t giving him the time of day and his feelings seem to be hurt a bit. Never fear, his foster mom is here to give him plenty of hugs and loving.
This very affectionate boy loves being near his foster family especially when they are inside the 
air conditioned house. He’s a calm guy who enjoys belly rubs, car rides, grooming and playing with his toys. What he isn’t fond of is thunder, he will become anxious and paces but his foster mom will cuddle with him and he just melts in her arms -loving the attention and affection.
Marley knows three of the most important commands, sit, down and come; “stay” and a few others will be worked on as he settles into his new environment.
With the help from GRRMF professionals, volunteers and all the wonderful supporters of this rescue, Marley will be helped with is medical issues and be ready to find his forever home. Take it from his foster mom who says, “Marley is one big lovable guy who has adapted very well. He is a great comfort companion and loving him is sooo easy.”
