If you need a smile today, Emma will put one on your face! A bouncing bundle of pure love, joy and happiness. This sweet angel came to GRRMF when her owner could no longer take care of her. Now, she is snuggling up to her new foster family and has already captured their hearts in just a short period of time.
Happy and eager to please, her foster mom says, “She is so happy and excited to greet people that she bounces up and down like a horse ready to go for a run. She doesn’t jump on people and likes to bring all new visitors a toy. Emma is the sweetest ball of love I have ever fostered.” And that’s not all – she loves belly rubs, car rides, toys, playing fetch and just plain lounging on the couch! She’s a sharer not a terror; she is not possessive over food or toys and is “perfect” in the house without being in a crate. Cat’s haven’t been introduced yet but the lizards and squirrels are giving her a thumbs up!
Being blind in her left eye and having a slight limp when she moves quickly doesn’t stop Emma from enjoying all her daily activities. Her excitement shows when it’s time for a stroll as she quickly does her little bouncy walk through the neighborhood. She walks nicely on leash and hasn’t shown any fear of loud trucks or vacuum cleaners. She has been enjoying the neighborhood children and gets along great with her fur sister. They gently play tug of war together and Emma has been mimicking her obedience skills in order to secure more treats.
Like any golden, Emma loves her food and camping out in the middle of the kitchen floor is her protest against dieting – if only a morsel of tasty food would fall her way her dreams would come true! But it won’t happen anytime soon as she has to stick to her diet and lose some weight so she can be healthy, fit and trim for her new life. Emma will be working hard to “go low” and is looking forward to living her best life in her new forever home.
