Settled comfortably and cozily in her foster home, Cassie is the picture of perfect golden 
contentment.
Despite having lived all of her life with the same family, this perpetually smiling pup knows that this is truly her forever family, making them feel as if she had always been theirs. Never deviating from her daily routine, Cassie’s favorite pastime, quite simply, is “hanging out” with them between her naps. The rest of the time, she faithfully follows them around the house and has a nighttime routine of going into the TV room and sleeping there through the night. But before nodding off, she paces and fusses until one of her parents comes in and sits on the recliner!
Disinterested in toys and blankets, she doesn’t play “fetch” with her parents because of the weakness in her back legs. They do, however, have an excellent harness which allows them to lift her into the car or truck for the rides that she loves. She also loves having her belly rubbed, going for walks and rolling around on the wet grass in the morning. And once her parents discovered that she’s totally deaf, they’ve been teaching her some hand signals.
Next on this fabulous family’s happy agenda: their first Thanksgiving festivities together.

Hi! My name is Cassie and I need a loving home to take me in to allow me provide them with ample love in my golden years of life. My family couldn’t provide me the atten
tion I deserve, so luckily they brought me to GRRMF to help me.
While much of my history is unknown, what my foster family does know is that I LOVE being around them – they have to watch to make sure they’re not falling over me when walking around because I’m always so close by, and I let them know when I want them to come inside when I can see them outside. I show interest in the horses around the property but have not had any interaction with other domestic critters or tiny humans.
For my age, I show a lot of energy and can act like a much younger dog but just need a little help up sometimes. I absolutely love any people I’ve been around, including the vet staff. I am a wonderful, love of a girl who showers you with affection and will stay by your side, no matter what. I am so thankful my forever family is GRRMF!,
