Foster Facilitator – This skilled communication and coaching role has the voice of the very important knowledge and understanding from the foster and dog’s point of view. Strong listening, coaching and time sensitive escalation of issues to partner in-care teams. Access and working knowledge of a pc, email, texting, in order to gather and record assimilated information. Ability to effectively communicate and gain insight on situations via verbal and written communications to coach foster families. Knowledge of Google sheets or Excel a must for ease of communication and tracking. Significant time commitment needed daily.
Long Haul drivers – Transporters willing to drive 100 miles or more each way to bring a dog safely to their destination. Minimizes the number of car switches for the dog’s comfort and safety.
Geographic coverage needs – Tampa / St. Petersburg area major need, I-4 corridor cities between and including Orlando and Tampa. Other areas of need include Gainesville and surrounding counties to the south and Melbourne and surrounding counties to the north.
Vet Check Coordinator – Contact vets of interested applicants who provided references when applying to adopt or foster a dog from GRRMF. Assign work to volunteers to complete reference check calls.
Phone Screen Support – Phone interviews with interested applicants applying to adopt or foster a dog from GRRMF.
Home Visit Support – In home / yard visits with interested applicants applying to adopt or foster a dog from GRRMF.
Application admin support – knowledge of google docs. Assist coordinators with daily tracking and updating application flow through email communication, phone calls and update of central tracking tool in google doc.
Medical liaison – experience as vet or vet tech or lots of doggie experience needed to work with our veterinarians, medical team and foster team for dog appointments and in home care follow up needs. Significant time commitment daily during morning and afternoon hours.
Media Team / Communications/Social Media:
Facebook Fan – Have some available time to be a virtual volunteer to help save our retrievers? We are looking for volunteers to help our media team create content, schedule posts and respond to comments and messages on our Facebook page to engage with our GRRMF friends as a voice for our rescue. The required time can vary from an hour a week to an hour every day, depending on how much you want to do.
Photographers – Photos and videos, even from smart phones, are an awesome way to highlight our dogs and the activities of our rescue. Our Hearts of Gold and Media teams are looking for photographers available during the day on week days, particularly on the east coast of Florida around Melbourne.
Admin support – various teams. Critical factor is availability daily during the week days for phone calls, using google sheets for updates and email and texting critical / timely activities with vets, trainers and other volunteers caring for our dogs. If you have hours during each day and a passion to be a major contributor to help our dog care team, we would love your passion, time and talent to help our pups and peeps.
Technology support:
- Experience with Wufoo forms creation platform for creating online tools to be used on our website and internal communications. Pull reports for metric and tracking reporting. Approximate time committment weekly of 2 hours.
- Experience with slideshow creation with video inserts to create MP4 or WAV output to use on our GRRMF YouTube channel. Approximate time committment weekly of 8 hours.
- Data input for Google Maps for data accuracy of our key Google Maps content. Average time committment weekly of 2 hours.
GoldenFest reunion planner – enjoy planning our twice a year special event (November on the west coast and March in central Florida) bringing together our adopted dogs, volunteers, adopters for a wonderful day of fun in a sea of gold. Experience in event planning helpful to create the memorable experience for our rescue family and GRRMF friends.
Education “Friendraising” support – become part of our team for events in your area. Help with planning our participation in community events and meet fellow volunteers and their furry ambassadors who share your passion.
GRRMF Hearts of Gold – join our dog therapy program as a dog/handler team in the areas we service and planned expansion areas. Currently supporting St Petersburg area (Pinellas county and north) and expanding to Tampa (Hillsborough county and east), The Villages, Melbourne and surrounding communities in Brevard county and new expansion into Orlando area (Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties).
