What made you step up to volunteer with GRRMF?

Before moving to Florida, I was an active volunteer with a Colorado rescue. I felt a void of not contributing. to a rescue and found GRRMF. I was able to find a role where I can help while still working full-time.

What do you do with GRRMF?

I’m the Home Visit Coordinator and also assist the business operations team. This summer will be my 3-year anniversary.

Do you have a most cherished moment?

I love to see how our amazing home visit volunteers connect with applicants and the joy it brings them when a family has found the perfect match.

Has being a volunteer changed you?
Working with GRRMF completes me in a way that nothing else has ever done. To see the dedication our volunteers have to help each pup never ceases to amaze me.

What has surprised you about volunteering?
I love that GRRMF meets you where you are, meaning if the commitment is ever too much, you are always the priority.  There is so much gratitude for the service provided by our volunteers without ever taking advantage of their generosity.

Any advice for potential volunteers?
There are so many different roles needed. Find one that matches your skill set and what brings you joy.

What touches your heart most often about GRRMF?
The “Our Adopted Dogs” page on our website sums it all up – everything we do is to get a pup onto this happy page!
