What is it and how the proceeds help?

Annually, the Golden Retriever Rescue of Mid-Florida (GRRMF) crafts a unique calendar available for purchase each autumn. The sales directly fund the medical care of our cherished canines. What makes our calendar extraordinary is the spotlight on our rescue success stories: where our  featured dog has found a forever home through GRRMF and our new Hearts of Gold program highlighting the tender dog who provides their special therapy gift to humans in need.

Here are some calendar-views of past for inspiration!

We cherish holiday-themed photographs, so we encourage you to capture snapshots your GRRMF furry family member Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, Independence Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. We also welcome seasonal images showcasing the beauty of Florida—or your beloved getaway spots—throughout the year.

What do I need to know?

When is the submission deadline?

• Submission deadline is July 15, 2025.
• To submit pictures, Complete this link and attach your  original, full-sized, digital pictures
• Any questions can be directed to calendar@grrmf.org.

Can any dog(s) be in the calendar?

• No, photos must be of a GRRMF rescue alumni or active GRRMF Hearts of Gold dog team members.

What specifics must I know about images I plan to submit?

• Types of Photos Needed

  • Horizontal-aspect photos that prominently feature your dog as these are the most desirable.
  • No people in the photos.

• File Size (high-resolution, digital photos)

  • Minimum 1 MB; ideally higher.
  • Send original file size for all photos (including those taken from a cell phone).
  • Please do NOT compress files as small files are not usable.

• File Format & Editing

  • We can only accept photos in JPG format.
  • Please do not make any adjustments to the photo to fix eye color (red eyes) etc. 

A few other important things to know.

• Photos must be previously unpublished and the original work of the entrant.
• Submission does not ensure inclusion in the calendar.
• Photos not selected for the calendar may still be used in our newsletter and on our website.
• By submitting a photo, entrants grant GRRMF a royalty-free, non-exclusive, worldwide license to publish and use the photos in any media without compensation or consideration.
