Kimberly and Stephen adopted Max when his previous family was not able to spend enough time with him. Now affectionately called Maxy, Kimberly says he is the “gentlest giant golden” she has ever met. He is very sociable; Maxy loves to sit on his front porch and happily greet people walking by with a hearty “hello” bark. When Maxy is not destuffing his toys, he enjoys playtime with his neighbor, a 140-pound Greater Swiss Mountain dog. Maxy and his large buddy are such great friends that they have a connecting gate between their backyards.
Holidays are a fun time for Maxy and his family. Last Halloween, neighbors dressed in costumes and popped over to Maxy’s house for kettlecorn. Being a good sport and joining in with the costume party, Maxy agreed to wear a scuba diver outfit.
Kimberly lovingly describes Maxy as “a wonderful dog and great friend. I am so glad I was chosen to be his mom.” In fact, because Maxy has fit in perfectly with his new family, they cannot imagine ever being without him.
