Benny Fenton’s Success Story

Benny Fenton’s Success Story

Headshot of a senior golden retriever.

Adopted on March 2, 2025, Benny Fenton wasted no time making himself part of Vicki’s family. One of the sweetest memories from adoption day happened almost instantly—Benny gently leaned against her leg and nudged her hand, asking for a pet. From that very moment, it was clear he was a loving soul who just wanted to belong.

Benny is a boy who truly lives for his walks. As walk time approaches, he plants himself in front of his dad and stares intently, waiting for the slightest movement that signals it’s time to go. Out on his walks, his happiness is contagious—especially when he spots a new person and gets excited to say hello.

At home, Benny provides plenty of laughs, thanks to his beloved “emotional support towel.” Whether he’s feeling extra excited or simply relaxing, he carries it around and gently bites it like a pacifier. He even tries to bring it along on walks, just in case he might need it.

A golden retriever sitting outside, looking to the distance, wearing a blue bandana.Benny also enjoys chewing on bones—particularly the ones that belong to his brother, Enzo. As soon as Benny steals Enzo’s bone, Enzo calmly finds another… which of course becomes Benny’s new target. This adorable back-and-forth game can go on for an hour, much to the amusement of their family.

What truly makes Benny special is his affectionate nature. He’s deeply attached to his dad and follows him everywhere. When it’s time to relax, Benny will squeeze himself into the tiniest spot on the couch, as long as he’s touching a human or one of his dog siblings. He doesn’t just live in the house—he insists on being right in the middle of the family.

While Benny hasn’t gone on any big trips yet, his days are filled with long walks, love, and plenty of cozy moments at home. With his sweet heart, gentle nudges, and constant desire to be close, Benny Fenton has found exactly where he belongs—and he wouldn’t have it any other way.
