Special Note: Approved adopters on our waiting list as of May 4th will be contacted after the evaluation period if Merida is a match for you.
Who needs balls to retrieve when the backyard is full of lizards and squirrels??? Not Merida, that’s for sure! One of her favorite things to do is run around the yard chasing these wild friends. However, bring out a toy and she’ll play fetch with you as well.
When outdoor playtime is over, Merida is all snuggles and cuddles inside. Her foster dad says, “She loves being close to her people. She sits next to you and leans on your legs.” Merida also thinks she a lap dog and has no problems climbing up onto her foster dad’s lap for lots of belly rubs and ear scratches.
Merida is housebroken, crate trained and knows a lot of commands. She recognizes her name and comes when called. On walks, which she adores, she’s very well behaved and doesn’t pull. She’s a bit startled by fireworks and thunder. When Merida needs her quiet time, she climbs into her crate and can open the door even if the latch is on – what a smart girl!
Merida is a sweet girl in need of a family who will treat her like the golden princess she is!
