Updated 1/14/24: Hi again! Just wanted to give everyone an update on how I’m doing. I moved to a new foster home and I really like it here! It only took me a few days to get used to my new routine and new humans. My new foster dad says I’m learning good leash manners on my walks and that I am very gentle and friendly to everyone I meet! I’m very good when my foster parents leave the house and I’ll just snooze in my bed. I received my first heartworm treatment a few days ago and so my activity will be limited in the coming weeks. Please continue to donate to support my journey through my treatments so that I can get to my forever home and then keep coming back for more updates!
Hi, I’m Maggie! I was brought to GRRMF in hopes of a better life.
I’m enjoying it here at my foster home and I get along well with my foster sibling, an 8 year old golden. I love playtime and will play fetch with my foster mom and chew on my toys for hours! My foster mom says I also love to go on long walks and am learning to not pull on the leash. I’m making a lot of progress! Lizards and squirrels better watch out because it’s fun to chase them and I’ll also follow cats if I see them while outside. I tend to get excited when I meet new people, but it’s only because I’m so friendly! My foster mom says that I’m so sweet that her family nicknamed me Lovebug. I adore to be petted and be near my humans, but I can be independent too. I enjoy chilling on my dog bed!
I am a good girl and my fosters are working on sit and stay with me. I am house trained and I don’t need the crate that my fosters have. I am very happy and sweet, but I do have a long road ahead of me. I’ve been diagnosed with heart worm and I start treatment in January. I’m also on eye drops and other medications. Will you help me so that I can kick heart worm’s butt and find my forever family? I would greatly appreciate your donation and after you’ve given, make sure to stop by and check for updates on my progress!
