Indie’s application for adoption
Meet Indie, a special girl, that is looking for a special family where she can build a loving relationship full of respect and trust and continue to shine! This beautiful, young pup, has some special needs that will require her forever family to have good working knowledge of force free training skills, the ability to read canine body language and have the patience, time and love to support Indie on her continued journey to be her best self.
If Indie could communicate verbally what she enjoys and what makes her tense and stressed here is what she would tell you:
I am a good dog that loves being with my family and I need to build trust with you and know that you will have patience with me while we build a bond together.
My caregiver, is a professional force free trainer, who through GRRMF, is helping me build trust. With her support and commitment, I am learning manners and how to share things that I consider prized possessions. When I have things I don’t want to give up, my caregiver does a trade system with me or she will completely ignore me. I have a few other things that some people call quirks but I think of them as special Indie needs.
Here is a list of my Do’s and Don’ts:
Indie came to GRRMF because the proper time could not be spent with her that was needed as a young pup. Now she is learning things that she should have learned months ago; she is doing well and with consistent training and guidance she will be a wonderful companion to the right person or family. Indie is not a dog for everyone and she will do best in a home with mature adults, with no children, that have the proper knowledge and training time and skills necessary for her needs.
