Irresistible Iggy is known for being the most lovable of lap dogs.
Iggy and his mom have been visiting rehab centers, assisted living facilities, memory centers and joining in public walks. This devoted team enjoys facilities where they can talk to and get to know the people. It’s rewarding to bring a smile to their faces with an encouraging word or to kindle past memories of their own pets.
The team is particularly fond of morning sessions in the Sabal Palms at the Palms of Largo complex. Being an exceptionally calm and social dog, Iggy’s participation in these events has enhanced his social skills even more. Someone commented that he has a high “EI” or emotional intelligence. And people like that he’s small enough to fit in their laps.
Every Sunday, Iggy goes to a new park. He gets excited being in a new place because he knows it’s new. Three times a week, he and his mom go somewhere with no sniffing, allowing them to get a solid, fast walk for 30 minutes. She does it for his health while Iggy does it for the treat he expects!
Because this team LOVES the walks outside, and since the White Cane Walk for the non-profit Lighthouse for the Blind was so well organized and so enjoyable, they’re now looking forward to the Christmas Parade at the Palms of Largo.
