Update 9/14/2018 : Goldie gave her surgeon some challenges with her knee repair but great news! The surgery was a success! Goldie is home, resting comfortably and recovering under the watchful eye of her foster mom.

Goldie, the only girl of the Sweet 6, was rescued from what was about to be an abandonment situation. Goldie, her dad Thunder and 4 siblings were brought to GRRMF after the death of a human family member.

Goldie was very skittish and nervous when she first got to her foster home, but after much encouragement and being loved on, she finally relaxed and understood that she was safe. She is very good with all animals.

Goldie is a very well behaved girl and will listen to anything you tell her! She is house broken and not crate trained, but this may just be due to the fact that she doesn’t need to be isolated. She does seem to be nervous about things in general, but with much love and reassurance, this can be resolved and Goldie will give you that love back 100%! Overall, her foster mom says that she is a doll and a joy to have around!

Goldie’s loving personality more than makes up for her medical issues. She will likely need knee surgery later this month and she is currently being treated for ear and skin issues with medication and medicated shampoo. She also has a mild case of kennel cough. Despite all this, this sweet girl refuses to give up and will make a wonderful addition to someone’s home when the time comes. In the meantime, though, she needs YOUR help! Please donate to help GRRMF care for this lovely girl and get her in tip-top shape before she goes to her forever home!
