Yes, you are still on a golden retriever rescue site and no, you are not seeing things. Daisy Mae is clearly not a golden retriever or golden blend of any kind, but she is golden hearted!
Daisy Mae and her golden fur-sibling arrived at GRRMF when their beloved elderly owner passed away and we simply couldn’t turn our backs on her. We believe Daisy Mae is a cocker spaniel, although her foster dad is convinced she’s part poodle because of her beautiful curly coat of fur. He says she loves to cuddle on couch getting lots of belly rubs.
Her foster mom calls Daisy Mae wiggle butt because when she gets excited her whole back side waggles from side to side along with her tail. And what gets her excited? Playing with her foster family’s other dogs, going on car rides, hanging out with her humans, and following them around, even chilling with the cat! Check out how her little tongue dangles from her mouth while she naps on the couch, how sweet is that? The one thing that does frighten her is a thunderstorm.
Daisy Mae is house trained, knows a few commands and doesn’t need a crate. She’s a little standoffish around unfamiliar dogs but soon relaxes and is back to her carefree personality. With her adorable face and loving disposition, her foster dad says, “This goofy girl will make someone truly happy!”
