Update: March 19, 2023
Hi Everyone,
I just wanted to let you know that I have been moved to Healing Hearts temporarily. I was diagnosed with heartworms and will have to undergo treatment for a four month period. It will be necessary for me to have limited activity during my treatment which includes medications, a series of shots, bloodwork, tests and follow up visits with my veterinarian. It’s a bummer but I’m young and if I follow doctors orders and listen to my foster parents, I should be bouncing around and looking for my new forever family soon! I will keep you posted with my progress!
*****************************************************************************
I have heard my foster family say that I am super sweet, and I have to agree! My name is Aria and I hope you pick me to join your family.
I am still a puppy so we will have so much fun learning and playing together as I grow into a young lady. When I meet someone new, I may seem a little nervous at first, but I promise it won’t take me long to relax and get comfortable. My foster family has a teenager and another dog, and I think they are just the coolest! I haven’t met any very young children yet, but I can already tell that I like other dogs and all people big and small.
I hope you have a big backyard because I love to play outdoors. Warm up your throwing arm because chasing tennis balls is one of my favorite things to do. If you need a break, I am also happy just running around the yard to burn off my puppy energy. When I tire myself out, I will flop down beside you to take a nap.
Back inside I can usually be found following my foster mom around the house. When she gives me scratches behind my ears, I get so happy that I thump my tail on the ground and then give her some puppy kisses. I told you I was a sweet girl!
My foster family is just starting to teach me some basic commands so we will need to keep practicing once I come home with you. Even though I am just beginning to learn, my foster mom says I easily flow with the rhythm of the house. I am also learning how to walk on a leash, but to be honest, I sometimes will lay down and refuse to move. Looks like we will need to work on my stubborn streak!
I am beginning to get more comfortable with my crate. Since I like to find random items to chew, I go in my crate when my foster family isn’t home so I don’t get into anything that is off limits. My foster mom put me up on her bed to test it out. Once I got up there, I didn’t move around much because I think I am happiest staying at ground level!
I hope you are ready to bring all of this sweetness home. I can’t wait to meet you!
