OUR GRRMF OLYMPIANS…
GRRMF had another amazing year because of blessings received from our volunteers, adopters and donors who are at the heart of who we are and the reason we can accomplish what we do.
Because of our dedicated Intake volunteers, who tirelessly logged numerous hours/days speaking personally with previous owners and shelters, we rescued 111 dogs in 2017.
From Intake those sweet angels were supported by our incredible Transportation volunteers who completed 234 transport requests that required 394 volunteers to safely move them to our vets and foster care families. Seven special volunteers from our Transport team went above and beyond to assist with moving 29 dogs in need between our partner shelters.
Since all our rescues are placed in foster homes, our Applications team is always hard at work and in 2017 they processed 489 applications for adoption requests.
The Adoption team placed 104 dogs in loving forever homes and continue to work with our rescues in foster care until they are ready for adoption.
GRRMF was blessed last year with 71 individuals who raised their paws as first-time volunteers to support our Village in various areas.
Last year stretched our budget with 16 major medical dogs, but each touched our heart in special ways as they healed. Our wonderful donors, who believe in our mission, are the pulsating heart of all our accomplishments – without their support we could not meet the personal needs of each rescue and rehome these precious angels.
